Pelham Farmers Market fans rejoice.
The weekly event, filled with local vendors, will continue to operate at Rice Road Greenhouses until Dec. 18.
Market chair Fred Arbour said vendors were approached by the owners who were interested in keeping the market going.
“Many of the vendors thought it would be a great idea,” Arbour said. “Most offer produce and products throughout the entire year, so it was a perfect match.”
He says around 8-9 vendors from the summer session will head over to the Rice Rd. property. The greenhouse organizers have also recruited fresh talent specializing in arts and crafts for the holidays.
For the first market this Thursday will run from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m., but Arbour says times may change moving forward.
“With the clocks switching back, we lose a lot of the natural light. We may aim to make the market earlier in the evening.”
Arbour says they also have left the door open to returning after Christmas, depending on how its received by the public.
This week will feature live music, vendors and a BBQ hosted by Klager’s Meats.
