Looking for one-of-a-kind holiday gifts and art work? Children at Maple Crest Early School have got you covered in their annual art show on Nov. 28.
The Amici’s Banquet and Conference Centre will be turned into a gallery featuring the work of students who have spent the last month learning and mimicking some of history’s greatest artist.
“The children make all the art, which includes laundry bags, front door mats and other Christmas decorations,” teacher Shannon McNevin said.
This is the ninth year the school has put on such an event -- something that remains a vital component to keeping programs and classes running inside the non-profit school.
“The  kids absolutely love it,” McNevin said. “Having their own private showing of their work is something special for not only the students, but the parents as well.”
Children will then vote on what programs the money will head into, coming around full circle for the kids.
“It’s a wonderful opportunity for the community to go Chritsmas shopping for unique items created by children in the community – that also helps out a school in Pelham.”
Tickets for the event are 25$ and can be purchased at the school, or by calling 905-892-4865.
