Two arrested for residential break-ins

In late December, police began investigating multiple residential break and enters that occurred in the Pelham and Welland area. These break and enters occurred during the daytime hours and showed numerous similarities.

In late December, police began investigating multiple residential break and enters that occurred in the Pelham and Welland area.

These break and enters occurred during the daytime hours and showed numerous similarities.

Police say two parties were arrested on Jan. 2. after searching two residences in Welland, where they seized large amounts of property believed to be stolen.  They say, the property is believed to be valued at over $20,000 and includes electronic equipment, jewellery, mobile communication devices, perfume, purses and more.

A large amount of the seized property has been indentified but investigation is continuing to identify the owners of the other property.

36-year-old Kristopher Hodgkins is charged with 5 counts of Break, Enter, and Commit contrary to section 348(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada. 39-year-old  Jennifer Hodgkins is charged with 3 Counts of Break, Enter, and Commit.

Kristopher Hodgkins is being held in custody for a bail hearing on January 3, 2015 while Jennifer Hodgkins was released on an Officer in Charge Promise to Appear.
