Airport seeks additional funding

It is also seeks help to finance a loan or debenture to install a new sceptic system, repair the roof on the main hangar and potential runway improvements. 
Pelham shares ownership of the airport in south Pelham near the Welland River with Welland, Wainfleet and Port Colborne.
The airport commission submitted its budget to Pelham last week. 
From the four municipalities, it is asking for $82,800 as their 2015 contribution. That is from Welland $45,540, Port Colborne $16,560 and Wainfleet $5,796 along with the $14,904.
Its expected expenditures for 2015, from operations to capital improvements, will be $181,800. 
In addition to contributions from the municipalities, it receives operating revenues from $20,000 in fuel sales and $79,000 from rentals of space for hangars and aircraft.
Pelham has asked for more information about the 2014 airport spending as well as details of financing a loan or debenture for the hangar, sceptic tank and runway improvements.
It will be considered in its budget planning.
