Pelham Minor Baseball Association is seeing the pace of registrations for its baseball and T-ball seasons running ahead of last year, said president Craig Gemmel.

The PMBA offers baseball programs for boys and girls aged 7 to 18 and T-Ball for ages 3 to 7.

It will hold pre-season pitching clinics starting on Friday, March 6, and plans to hold tryouts for the Mosquito Rep program in March and April.

“The PMBA encourages everyone interested in playing baseball or t-ball to visit the league website at www.pmba.ca and register right away, as registration is limited by team size,” said Gemmel. “Players must be registered to attend clinics and tryouts.”

The season gets underway in May and continues through to August.

This year, he said, PMBA teams look forward to playing on new and redesigned fields at Centennial Park in Fenwick and Harold Black Park.

The new fields replace a baseball field in Marlene Stewart Streit Park as well as upgraded existing fields.

The PMBA is proud to continue to offer the lowest rates for baseball in Niagara, said the association president.
