On May 4th PoolBusters celebrated the grand opening of their new location in the plaza behind Mossimo’s on Highway 20. The opening drew a large crowd who were eager to see the state of the art showroom and the innovative products and services that have become synonymous with the business.Launched in 1989 by John Kore as a way to offset the high costs associated with maintaining his newly installed swimming pool, the business was passed to his son Ryan in 2010 following John’s retirement. Asthe business grew and evolved, Ryan, who studied business at Sheridan College, quickly found himself running out of space at the old location on the corner of Canboro Road and Effingham Street, and began to envision a new facility that would better reflect the company’s ideals. The new space certainly accomplishes that, boasting a sleek, modern interior, and inventory as cutting edge as the pools Ryan designs “The pools that we build are different than any other pool company out there,” he said. “Everything out there is cookie cutter kits that you can buy off the internet. We don’t do that. Everything we do is custom designed and personalized using 3D technology. Nobody else in the region is doing pools like this.”And the technologically advanced elements do not stop at the design process. “This is the first year that all of our pools are having full ipad and iphone integration,” he said. “Full temperature control, full lighting control, full water feature control.”In the wake of the successful grand opening, Ryan and his staff are looking forward to continued growth, and to helping residents maximise the enjoyment  and satisfaction they get from their pools.
