If you're a night owl, prepare for yet more gridlock on Highway 20, west of downtown Fonthill.

Regional Road 20 (Highway 20) will be temporarily closed to through traffic on a block-by-block basis from 6 PM to 6 AM, weather permitting, starting Sunday, June 18, through Tuesday, June 20.

The road closure is necessary to rehabilitate the existing road surface from Centre Street to Timmsdale Crescent.

In addition, pavement marking is scheduled to be performed overnight on Wednesday, June 21 and Thursday, June 22 from 7 PM until 7 AM.

Detour routes will be posted along Haist Street, Canboro Road and Cream Street.

Any inquiries concerning this project may be directed to Niagara Region Dispatch at 905-984-3690 or Melissa Tomascik, Contract Administrator Transportation Engineering, at 905-980-6000 ext. 3189.

In a news release, the Town of Pelham says that, "Your co-operation and patience during this period of inconvenience will be appreciated."
