What would have been Fenwick Flossie's 25th appearance to prognosticate has been cancelled.
Fenwick Lion Jeff Pickup announced Wednesday afternoon that the annual event which has delighted two generations of hot chocolate-chugging children is the latest to fall victim to the Polar Vortex. Flossie was to have appeared on Friday morning at Centennial Park.
It's just plain too cold for both the giant rodent and her fans. The Weather Network currently predicts a temperature of -16 around Flossie's previously planned 10 AM debut.
