Sunday's high winds have brought down part of the arches above Pelham Town Square, in Fonthill. Half of one arch, attached to a concrete anchor, fell into the street at midday.Interim CAO Teresa Quinlin confirms that the remainder of the structure is set to be dismantled on Monday.

"The arches will have to come down tomorrow. The timeline depends on when it’s safe for the Public Works staff to take them down and it’s not so windy.

As of mid-afternoon Sunday, the portion of Pelham Town Square running under the arches was closed, with safety barriers blocking entrance to both sides of the street.
