Police training planned Friday morning in Niagara Falls

Police are asking people to avoid the area during the training, which will include the sound of simulated gun fire as well as the sound of simulated controlled explotions

On Friday, May 10, 2024, between the hours of 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. the Niagara Regional Police Service Emergency Task Unit (ETU) and the Niagara Parks Police Service will be conducting joint training.  The training will take place in the immediate area of the Table Rock Complex located at 6650 Niagara River Parkway, Niagara Falls, Ont.

Members of the public in the area should expect:

  • An increased police presence
  • The sound of simulated gun fire
  • The sound of controlled explosions

There will also be joint high angle / repelling training in the area of the Table Rock Complex.

There will be signage and police tape in the training area. The public and media are asked to stay away from the training sites for their safety and the safety of the officers involved.
